I’m doing Talk To Me Tuesday a day early this week due to my back surgery on Thursday. I’m completely inspired by the Word of the Year and I hope you’ll participate in the challenge and giveaway.
Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2008?
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2009?

It just so happens that I posted that very post this morning! My word for this year is Be. Last year was enjoy and I really ENJOYED the journey with my word, so I am really looking forward to this year!
What beautiful jewlery! My word for 2009 is GO. Hubby will be between deployments for most of this year so I want to take advantage of that time and just GO anywhere and everywhere with our toddler. :)

I was suprised how quick this came to me…INSPIRE is my word of the year.
what a coincidence! I just got finished making my little reminders for my word.
One word? How do I say “hot 30something successful guy who looks and croons like Chris Martin and who wants a single mom of 4″ into ONE word?

My goal this year is to real enjoy my kids and family before our new one comes in August. So, my word would be SAVOR.
I posted this on my blog Jan. 1st (new tradition) and my word is “Believe”. Believe in myself, Believe in my family, and focus on my personal Beliefs.

Lovely idea. My word isn’t very unique (LOVE) but it so adequately covers all the things I want this year to bring, specifically that I want to learn to love myself and treat myself with the respect and care that I treat others. Finally.

My word for the year is STRONG… I plan to be strong in many things this year but mainly strong in my relationship with the lord. Awesome contest thanks for letting me join. I will be praying for your back surgery..

That is really hard to decide.
It’s a toss up between Fulfillment and Success.
I’d probably go with Success mostly because it’s shorter. But I want to be successfully in all aspects of my life.

My one word that sums up 2009 is
Believe -to have confidence or faith in the truth.
“All things are possible to him that believes” Mark 9: 23-24.
“Be not afraid, only believe” Mark 5: 36.

My word for 2009 is “Bound”. Bound to lose this baby weight, bound to keep my house clean, bound to grow in the Lord and teach my children to do the same.
