I’m doing Talk To Me Tuesday a day early this week due to my back surgery on Thursday. I’m completely inspired by the Word of the Year and I hope you’ll participate in the challenge and giveaway.
Can you identify a single word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2008?
I first discovered the Word of the Year in 2007 by Michelle, Kristi, and Lisa and was immediately inspired by the idea originated by Alli Edwards:
“A single word can be a powerful thing. It can be the ripple in the pond that changes everything. It can be sharp and biting or rich and soft and slow.”
So for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday I’d like to challenge you to pick a word that sums up what you want for yourself in 2009?

Hi there I just found this site and I love the idea of a word for the year. Mine is Optimism…I need to learn to be more positive.
I think that the word of the year for me is BLESSED. I am so very blessed in my life.
I’ve never thought about having one word to focus on throughout the year. I was able to choose a word, and fit all of my goals to that word. Thanks for the insight!
I blogged… my word is CALM. 2008 was so stressful and hectic that I’m really hoping to get organized and help myself be calm in that way for 2009!

I really love this site, though this is the first time I have participated so I hope I did it right. The word that I am going to focus on this year is LIVE. My husband joined to military in September and I have only been trying to survive and pass time until he graduates training school. Thanks to this challenge I am being motivated to LIVE life and not just let it pass.
