TJ Mom-prenuer Gift Guides on Whrrl!

Hey Ladies!  I had a brainstorm while at SITScation and I’ve been itching to tell you all about it.

blogging tips TJ Mom prenuer Gift Guides on Whrrl!

Mom-prenuer Marketing Idea:
I recently discovered Whrrl and I’m completely addicted to it.  It’s the latest trend in Social Media and so easy to use.  I would like to use the networking power of Whrrl to promote your Mom-preneur products!

What is Whrrl?
It’s a slideshow that allows you to add pictures, links, and twitter accounts.  Since Whrrl is connected with Twitter and Facebook – it has amazing marketing potential for your business. Which means, it provides lots of link love for every one involved. This will give shoppers quick and easy access to your most popular products in several categories.

It’s typically used to tell a story about “where you are” and “who you are with”.  However, I don’t think they’ll mind if we use it to form a Mom-preneur Alliance to promote the Shop-a-ton.

What does this mean to you?
More people will see your products, follow you on twitter, click over to your shop or blog, and hopefully purchase your products.

Why Participate?
I’m doing my darndest to promote your EH Mom Shops and  TJ Mom-prenuer Shops and will continue to do so.  However, if we really want to get noticed, it’s timed we became a Mom-preneur Alliance and banded together to promote each other.

I’ve come up with a crazy fun idea on how we can use the power of Whrrl to get your most popular products noticed for holiday shoppers.  Don’t worry – it’s easy and you don’t have to do a giveaway. {{giggle}}

How to Participate:
If you have an active listing on Executive Homemaker or Tip Junkie Mom-preneur Shops, you are invited to add a few of your most popular products to the TJ Holiday Shop-a-thon Whrrl stories.

If every one of the Mom-preneurs who participate, share their Whrrl stories on Twitter and Facebook, we will combine our readership and influence to create a word-of-mouth frenzy!!  It’s a win/win situation.

How to Start:

1.  Sign up for a Whrrl account
2.  Update your Profile:  Upload a photo, add your @twitter, and website
3.  Add Laurie Turk as a friend  (this will allow me to add you to any #momshop stories I create and give you more link love)

How to add your products to #momshop Whrrl stories:

1.  E-mail me your products: image, link, and price
2.  Tell me what category you’d like each product to be listed under (limit 2 per category)
3.  Add your Whrrl profile link to e-mail so I can add you to the story and give you more exposure.

I’ll be adding these gift guides over the next couple weeks and I can always edit the Whrrl stories to include you.

How to start your own #momshop Gift Guide:

1.  View the quick Whrrl slideshow so you are familiar with how to start a story.

2.  View the quick Whrrl slideshow on how to Edit a Story on Whrrl.

**UPDATE**

All of the steps in #3 are very important.  I’ve been talking with Whrrl and they are going to do something really cool next week for all of the stories that have #momshop (in the description text for the image) in them.  Remember the goal is to use Whrrl as our blogging alliance so the more connected you are with #momshop – the better I’ll be able to promote your Whrrl story & shop.  I’m also going to embed all of the #momshop stories here on the Tip Junkie blog – however you need to follow all the instructions in #3 to be included.

3.  Start your own Whrrl story.  Be sure to include:

  • Name of product, price, direct link to purchase
  • Add the Tip Junkie Shop-a-thon button with #momshop somehwere in your story.
  • (The #momshop will allow your story to be linked with all the Shop-a-thon stories and it will be included in all the searches on Whrrl & Twitter.)
  • It would also be lovely if you ended your story with “I pledged! http://buymommade.org” and button.
  • If you are a twitter user don’t forget to add your @username (like @tipjunkie) so people can click the link and follow you.
  • This will continue to build our Mom-preneur Alliance and give everyone extra exposure and followers.

How to get even more exposure on Whrrl:

We all know money doesn’t flow into our PayPal accounts just because we add our products to a directory.  Unfortunately, it takes a little more effort than that.  So the next step is to get social!

  • “Like” all the Whrrl stories under #momshop
  • Leave comments which people can then click on and add you as a friend as well as add them to their Whrrl stories.
  • Add friends to your Whrrl account.
  • Add yourself to the “I was there” in the stories where you added your products.

I will actively be promoting the all the Shop-a-thon (#momshop) Whrrl stories on the Tip Junkie Blog, TJ Mom-prenuer Shops, as well as the TJ Community.  So don’t wait!  Get your products listed so I can further promote your products.  (But remember you have to type in the #momshop in one of the image descriptions – that’s why you need the Shop-a-thon image so it make sense – in order for your shop to show up!)

If you have any questions feel free to shoot me over an e-mail using my form under “other”.  I’d be happy to help!

Hey Ladies! Once you add your profile to Whrrl, can you e-mail me if your product is already on the Shop-a-thon stories? I want to be able to add you as “I was there” so everyone will know they are your products.

You just have to have an account before I can add you. Thanks!!

Hugs to all who participate and help promote. Y’all ROCK!

Laurie! Thank you so much! I just ‘found’ you a couple of days ago and have been meaning to put some of my handpainted items on your momshops, which I obviously haven’t done yet (but will!). Then you come up with this super fantastic idea about Whirrl, which I’d never heard of. LOVE IT!
Thanks so much for helping those of us in business. I’m too excited! I’m painting some more right now but will get you some pics over the weekend.
If you stop by my blog you can see my artwork thru my website and/or Etsy. The links are on the upper right hand corner. If not, cool. I’ll just get you some products asap.

Oh, btw, I do xmas decorations (wreaths, garlands, etc.) What do you think about selling those online? I’ve always done custom, but would love to offer them. Just wondering what you think.

Specialists tell that loans help people to live their own way, just because they are able to feel free to buy necessary goods. Moreover, some banks offer college loan for young and old people.
