  • black paint
Just a Tip!

Instructions

  • Step 1
Step 1: Place a very tiny nail on top of your key ring. I wish I had taken a "before" picture. But basically you have your key-less remote control, metal key ring, then the nail. This will add extra strength to the putty, preventing the key ring from breaking a second time.
  • Step 2
Step 2: Use the Loctite repair putty according to the directions on the package. Basically you message the putty until it turns "white" then you mold it into the shape you want it to be on top of your key ring.
  • Step 3
Step 3: Once you are finished molding the Loctite repair putty onto your car key remote control {over the nail and through the key ring} it will look like this. Be sure to move your metal key ring around a few times, so it can twist... otherwise it will cement in place and not move.
  • Step 4
Step 4: Paint the repair putty the same color as your car key remote. Mine was black. I used "tole paint" but it eventually came off. Therefore, I would suggest using Appliance spray paint or if you use regular paint finishing it off with a clear lacquer paint.
  • Step 5
Step 5: Now I can use my broken car key-less remote control as a "key chain" again and put my other keys on it. Whoohoo!
