christmas Talk To Me Tuesday – Homemade Christmas Gifts

For Talk To Me Tuesday this week, I thought I’d ask you the question, “What homemade Christmas Gifts did you make last year?” I know, you were worried that I would ask you to spill the beans on what you’re giving this year. I wouldn’t do that, I can totally keep a secret. {{wink}}

So go through your blog archives or do a new post that shows us what gifts you made for friends and family last year or some of your favorites you’ve received. We all need some fabulous ideas on what to give!

How to Play: Compose a post that talks about the topic above. Then add your direct post (not home page) to Mister Linky at the bottom of this post.

Entries will only be allowed until Saturday at 11 am Texas time to avoid spammers. Also, only link to your Talk To Me Tuesday post not your home page, those will be deleted.

YAY! I can’t wait to see the amazing gifts you’ve given and received by clicking on your links below. If you haven’t used Mister Linky before, here’s the low down (a.k.a rules).

    Since I wasn’t blogging last year (or particularly crafty for that matter with an itty bitty to take care of) I linked up to a handmade Christmas challenge post for this year. Without giving too much away to my family and friends, I discuss some of the things I’m planning to make. I can’t wait to check out everyone’s ideas!

    What a great idea! I really enjoyed making the gifts I gave last year and they seemed to be well received. I’m trying to expand this year but need to get working on it, and fast.

    Other than baking, I’ve never made homemade gifts. I discovered tipjunkie a couple of months ago and it inspired me to get started on gifts for this holiday season!

    Last year, I made personalized sugar cookies for everyone in my family. Everyone loves food, right?

    I didn’t make anything specifically last year, but I did have a get together every year with my daughter’s friends to make cookies for Santa. I love to take a pic of the kids with their cookies and then they write a short note to Santa.

    My post isn’t so much about the gifts I made (although it is homemade), but about the material bags used to wrap the gifts, and are totally re-usable every year.
    By the way, I posted two.

    I can’t seem to located some pictures I am a potter and last year I made platters and bowls for everyone. I didn’t want to repeat that again plus it got a little production like…. So this year I have decided to make something that is unique to each persons hobbies and habits. Does that make sense!?

    I want to thank all of you for playing with Mr. Linky. Unfortunately, I had to delete several links because they were linked to their home page instead of the direct post. Please read the “low down” or rules if you are in question if you’re doing it right.

    I want everyone to be have the opportunity to play so please be sure to post to the DIRECT post. Thanks so much!! I’ve loved the links I’ve seen so far.

    I usually try to make small but personalized gifts, like hand-embroidered or hand-drawn pictures framed with signature. There were several times when I made painted silk scarves (they had much more impression on people than just ordinary drawings)

    What a fun topic. I’ve been posting different gift ideas on my blog too. I was late getting to getting this one, but I did post a picture and link to the wood doll cradle my son made for his sister last year. We also made doll houses for the girls, a inexpensive desk for my son, pjs for another son and a robe for my youngest daughter. Love doing homemade gifts. It makes the house feel like Santa’s workshop.
