Show Me Your To Do Lists

by Laurie on January 25, 2010

talk to me tuesday_white

Once again for today’s Talk To Me Tuesday, we’re doing something a little different.  Lately I’ve been wondering a lot about how you organize your life.  Do you have a master “To Do List” like I do, do you wing it, do you have a schedule or are you more laid back?  Oh the questions I have.  Therefore, to get another sneak peak into your life, today you can show off your:

  • To do list
  • Your schedule
  • Your favorite organizational item or system
  • Or Just talk about how you run your family

Cuz, I totally want to know and learn from the fellow crafters out there!  I know it’s a little different but I hope you’ll have fun with it and play with us today.

How to Play

Link your “To Do Lists” posts to this post using Mister Linky. Please link to your direct post not your home page.  If you haven’t used Mister Linky before, here’s the low down (a.k.a rules).

I don’t have a to-do list post, but I have a new favorite to-do list program. It’s calle TeuxDeux. It’s a web-based program that allows you to keep a running to-do list. You can schedule items or add them day by day. Anything not completed moves to the next day. There’s also a someday list for all of the long-term things you hope to do. Here’s a link:

Wow, pretty impressive. It is fun to see how people prepare for their tasks and The Binder Minder site with all the lists is awesome! At our house we have “Trash Tuesday” where we find 28 things in the house to either throwaway or giveaway. Thanks for giving me some great ideas of ways to organize my marching orders for the day.

My post is my master list for the next three years. These are the thing always on the back of my mind that I want to get done, but never do. It seems that actually writing them down makes a huge difference.

So many great ideas. I linked mine up, but it seems puny compared to a lot of the other links. Still, great to get some inspiration!

Looking forward to reading some helpful hints! My Power of 3 is working really well, not only for me but for my boys and their chores. But I could always use more help.
Thanks for hosting!

Hey Laurie!
Thanks for stopping by my blog post and commenting! I’m honored! You are so creative and I love to stop by your sites for ideas! I usually don’t get to post much b/c I work. My little guy was sick today & I took off of work- so I had some time at naptime to post…how awesome it was my favorite topic of organizing! I could do 100 posts on that! Again, thanks for inspiring all of us to get our craft on! ~Lynne from Our Happy Home in NY!

I wrote a post a couple of weeks ago about the changes I’m making in my housecleaning schedule this year. It’s working well – when I work it! ;)

I posted our family command post. Simple but do-able and out of reach from little hands….keeping the bills all in one place.

We use a bulletin board system based on time the task will take and “to do”, “in process” and “done” so we see where our time was well spent; plus we feel a great sense of accomplishment moving items through the workflow to , “DONE!”
