Rest My Creative Soul

cool products Rest My Creative Soul

As a mom with three busy boys, I usually find myself working with their energy.  We have a fast paced household with a lot going on – all the time.  I used to run myself ragged and then have these days where I would just crash.  I finally found an alternative that I’ve been doing ever since.  It’s one of my little secrets on how I “do all that I do”.  I take time off every day as a mom to rest my creative soul.

“Sometimes the most important thing in a whole day is the rest we take
between two deep breaths.” – Etty Hillesum

I realize that it may sound counterproductive but I believe a girls gotta have a few moments of “me” time to recharge the batteries and reward herself for a job well done.  Especially during the summer!

I like to take my few moments mid-afternoon when the kids finally have their rhythm and all is well in the house.  It’s one of my favorite times of the day and I sneak into my room and shut the door and eat something sweet!  {{sigh of relief}}

    I love the photos!! I don’t feel like I quite get a moment every day – more like once a week. I need to work on that, and eating some Milanos will help!

    Yum. These do sound delish. Honestly, I feel like my “me” time is the time I spend blogging and finding fun new blogs to read.

    Unfortunately, when I snack while doing that, I find that I eat … um … way too much without thinking!

    Maybe I’ll start taking some “me” time by consciously snacking, quietly, and just enjoying one cookie at a time. :)

    When is my creative time? Hmm…
    Probably at night when my mind comes ALIVE with possibilities. And also when Dr. Pepper is in my system.

    Strawberry milanos…YUM!
    I want some!
