If you have a blog or are considering starting a blog, then you should know that choosing your color palette can be a daunting task.  That's why I am delighted to introduce you to Renee {a graphic designer} who is showing us  5 online color palette tools or in other words a color picker for your blog or online site.  {squeal} If you want to make your website or blog stand out, selecting the right colors has a huge impact. But sometimes it’s difficult to imagine how certain colors will work together while keeping track of those pesky html codes needed to implement them. Here are 5 online tools that can make choosing your color palette a breeze and even fun!

Color Palette Generator

Got a photo that has all the colors in it that you love? Upload it to this site and get an instant color palette to match! Select each color to get the html code to put into your site.

Color Schemer

This is a great site with lots of user-created palettes or “schemes”. You can search on keyword like "red" or "sunset" or explore a tag cloud in the Top Categories area. There’s a great forum where you can discuss palettes or ask other color-related questions. If you want to use the palettes as shown, place your mouse over the color and wait for the pop-up box to display the hex codes. You can also download the palette and use it in their excellent color products for PC and Mac that offer full-blown color matching. Or download their iPhone app and browse palettes from your phone!

Kuler

At Adobe’s Kuler you can create a color palette using pre-programmed color rules like analogous (colors right next to each other on the color wheel), monochromatic (all shades the same color) and complementary (colors opposite each other on the color wheel). Like Color Palette Generator, Kuler will also let you use an image to create your palette. You can pick from the many user-created color themes and even subscribe to an rss feed of their most popular ones.

COLOURlovers

Have fun browsing through user-created palettes, and even patterns, organized by categories like wedding, home, fashion and business. Or make your own! Plus, there is a ton of inspiration in their real-time color trend tracking gallery including magazine covers, street fashions and handmade goods.

ColorBlender

Use the color sliders to create instant color blends. The AutoMatch mode will choose a blend based off of one color, or you can edit every color in your palette individually. You can copy the html hex or RGB codes from the page, or download the palette for your Photoshop or Illustrator program. This site also has user-created blends to browse and tweak to make them your own.
