If your family is anything like mine, then you had a big influx of new electronic gadgets over the holidays. It seems that each of these gadgets always comes with at least one cable (a charger and maybe a connector). Until yesterday, we did not have any cable organization to speak of…that is unless you count my bottom desk drawer with a big, tangled mess of cables. I could not take one more day of ‘cable madness’ so I created a new cable organization system in our office.
Simple Cable Organization
Just a Tip!
Difficulty: Very Easy
Budget: Cheap
Estimated Time: Under 30 minutes
You Will Need...
- Over-the-door shoe organizer
- Command hooks
Instructions
# 1
I found this over-the-door shoe organizer at Ikea for around $6.
# 2
I hung it on the back of the closet door in my office with Command hooks from the Home Depot. (Note: I did not use the over-the-door hooks that came with the shoe organizer because I was worried that it would damage the top of the door.)
# 3
Next I placed one cable in each of the shoe slots.
# 4
Finally I labeled each with my label maker for quick recognition. This system works so well that it left my husband and I wondering what we would argue about now…?
