Proctor and Gamble flew me out to attend Fabric Care University and in all honesty, I can’t stop thinking about what I learned about clothes stains. Especially right now as I’m taking inventory of the boys clothes and trying to figure out what they need for school.
Clothes Stains
It was amazing to meet Tim Gunn from Project Runway. He’s just as charming and warm in person as he is on the show. You’ll be happy to know that my team won his fashion challenge and you can read all about it over on my personal blog. {{squeal in delight}} He talked to us about how important it is to take care of your clothes and that fabric care is vital to good fashion.
Fabric Stains
But the best thing about Fabric Care University was that I finally learned how to do my laundry and how to avoid clothes stains. HA! It’s hard to believe that I’ve been using Tide in my own home for 15 years. I’m still in denial my 15th wedding anniversary is this Wednesday. {{holy moly}} Since Fabric Care University, I’ve been able to get my boys clothes stains completely gone! Want to know how? Use the best detergent to remove clothes stains which also does not damage the fabric fibers. Damaged fabric fibers is what causes clothes to fade, become fuzzy, and look old.
Q. How to get Whites the Whitest:
Did you know that people in different parts of the world have different opinions on what is white? For instance here in the US, we want our whites to have a blue hue while someone in another country wants a yellow hue. Who knew?!?
Well, Proctor and Gamble does. They can recreate any water condition anywhere on the planet and that’s how they test their products. They use microscopes to compare their cleaning enzymes with their competitors to make sure that Tide is the best detergent.
A. Best Detergent for Whites ~ Tide Power with Bleach
If you want your whites to be white with a blue hue, use powdered Tide with Bleach. Fill your water and when it’s 1/2 way full, drop in your Tide. Once it’s full then put in all of your clothing.
There’s SO much more I have to share from Fabric Care University. I have saved so much money because now I don’t have to buy all new clothes for my boys for school this year due to clothes stains. Huge thanks to Tim Gunn, Tide at Proctor and Gamble, and DeVries PR for this amazing experience.

That sounds like a totally fun trip! I love P&G! I am going to get some tide and try it out on my whites! Mine have gotten so grey and dingy looking. Thanks for sharing!
What a GREAT article!! I really appreciate this info. I think I’m going to switch laundry detergent and see how it goes
I need all the help I can get!! I don’t have good luck getting stains out. Thanks Laurie
Wow! That’s awesome. I am looking forward to hearing more on this subject.
So are there any non bleach alternatives. We don’t use bleach in our house. ( septic tank) and we can only use free and clear detergent due to my daugters very sensitive skin.
I’m still trying to get past the fact that you are standing next to Tim Gunn. JEALOUS!!!! I guess I will have to settle for really white whites.
yea P&G!! huuuuge fans from down here in texas!
Huh, who knew…I usually just throw in the wash {usually mixed whites and colors} and cross my fingers and hope for the best. I never knew about the classification of white though. I bet this was a fun trip for sure!
Oh I would LOOOOOVE to go to THAT University!! I’m having some frustrating laundry issues lately!!
Do you have any advice about specific stains? I am always struggling with getting stains out!
I have the hardest time getting stains out if my 11 month old’s clothes. Her knees get dirty from crawling on the hardwood floor no matter how often I clean. And she gets food on her shirts and bips constantly. I’m using a stain treatment, soaking, oxyclean in the wash and tide…but I still have to wash over half of her things twice and many are ruined. She has skin issues as well. Any advice?
Have no money to buy some real estate? Worry no more, because it’s real to get the personal loans to work out such kind of problems. Thus take a car loan to buy everything you require.
Different people in every country receive the business loans from different creditors, just because that is fast and easy.
