It’s all about the Mommy Blogger

blogging tips Its all about the Mommy Blogger

I just read the most powerful article by Alli Worthington on Mommy Blogging.  It’s exactly how I feel about blogging and about connecting with women.  It’s like she took what was in my heart and put it into an eloquent post.

Before I discovered blogging, I was a stay at home mom trying to raise 3 challenging boys.  My world felt very small and my voice insignificant.  Even though I was surrounded by amazing women, my talents and skills seemed very odd and out of place in comparison.  One evening, my friend Katri printed out a blog post at a girls night and read it to us, thus introducing us to the world of blogging.

Looking back, my outlook on life changed that very evening.  I started my personal blog and then a month later, I created Tip Junkie.

  • My world has changed into a more beautiful place thanks to your pictures.
  • I’ve become more compassionate because you’ve shared your heartaches.
  • My voice has been validated by your comments.
  • I’ve made friends all over the world with skills and interests just like mine.
  • I no longer feel odd, I feel empowered.

I love to feature women who normally wouldn’t have gotten noticed. I’m constantly amazed at the talent and devotion each of you have and your willingness to share so much of yourselves. There’s nothing like featuring someone new and getting an e-mail response:

“I feel like I’m making the Oprah show of blogs!” Autumn

“Yay!  I’m feeling really famous!” Jill

“Thanks so much! I feel like I’ve achieved a new level of coolness.!” Laree

By featuring another blogger on your blog – you make them feel like a rockstar for the day!  What an amazing gift you just gave that person.  With your sweet comments you just made someone’s day and brightened their world.  This is what we as bloggers do for each other and this is the world that I hold so dear.

I’m trying to do my part by promoting women’s products in the Mom-preneur Shops and women’s blogs with Chic Chic Media.  We have so much on our plates already my goal is to make it just a little bit easier.  I hope you’ll use these resources to support each other.  Man, there are some crazy fun women you should know about listed in these directories!

I want to thank each of you for giving me the opportunity to come into your home each day and share with you these amazing women and their talents.  I hope that your world has become a brighter one because of them.  I know mine certainly has.

Together we have a powerful voice and influence!  My hope is that we as women bloggers become a tight community, uplift and inspire each other, and become a positive force.

May the force be with you!  {{giggle. Sorry, I couldn’t resist}}

xoxo
Laurie

Well written. That is exactly how I feel. I have never quite fit in with those around me. My idea’s never really had a place. In the world of blogging I can share my idea’s and comments keep me going. My poor brain just won’t stop and take a break.

Thanks for this, and the links.
I wrote a post a little while back on why I blog, I called it “My Waste of Time” in response to my aunts and others who are just ‘baffled as how young mothers these days just waste so much time on their blogs.’ Probably didn’t convince any of them, but I got a really positive response from other Moms …

Even though I’m new to blogging myself, I can relate to your experience. Sharing my life and inner thoughts with other moms feels very natural and a little frightening all at the same time.

Laurie, I consider it a privilege to have you in my home each day:).

I am also new to blogging and enjoy reading the blogs all of the wonderful ladies I have “met” each day. I don’t feel that my blog is as interesting as others, but it’s ok , I’m still getting the hang of it. I feel a connection which is unlike some of my own friendships. Ireally would have loved this when I had 3 young children, but I am happy to be a part of it now.

I’m new to the blogging world. After 15 years in the nursing world, it was hard to move in to being a SAHM. I felt like I had lost my voice and, to some extent, my usefulness. Reading others blogs have helped me realize I’m not alone in this. I feel humbled to be surrounded by so many talented and creative women! I hope some day to be able to keep up with all of you.

Thanks for this. I’m new to reading blogs and am inspired by all the creativity out there. I enjoy my work and hope some of the things I write about can help and inspire someone else. We’re all here to help each other. Thanks again.

Lots of specialists tell that loan aid a lot of people to live their own way, just because they are able to feel free to buy necessary stuff. Moreover, a lot of banks present bank loan for all people.
