Over the past week or so, I’ve been receiving several messages from Tip Junkie readers complaining that you are no longer seeing Tip Junkie status updates on their Facebook wall. {{scratching head}} What!?! That completely perplexed me, so I looked at my own wall and noticed that, you were right!
On my Facebook wall, I was only seeing one status update from Tip Junkie about every 24 – 36 hours or so. Which means that we’re all missing out on some seriously amazing tutorials and gorgeous eye candy. I also noticed that I wasn’t seeing updates from several of my friends and family as well.
You know I love to solve a problem! Therefore, I did some digging and according to Mark Hull, recent Facebook changes mean that you are not seeing everything that you should be seeing!
The “New Facebook” has a newsfeed setting that by default is automatically set to show ONLY posts from people who you’ve recently interacted with or interacted the most.
So in other words, for both business and personal pages, unless your friends/fans commented on one of your posts within those few weeks or vice versa – you are now invisible to them and they are invisible to you!
Um, this is really uncool because I’ve been missing things in my friends and families lives. But no worries, there is a quick fix! It’s only 2 steps.
1. Log into Facebook, click on “home” on your top navigation. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click on “Edit Option. {screen shot above}
2. Click on “Show Posts From” and change the setting to “All Of Your Friends and Pages”. {screen shot above}
Yep, that’s it! You will no longer miss out on those you’ve grown to love and adore via your Facebook Wall. {{giggle}}
Don’t worry, you can still hide Uncle Ray who talks about what he’s eating three times a day. That functionality hasn’t changed at all.

Since a few days when I switch to using one of my fanpages as facebook – I can not switch back to my regular page. It is rather annoying! The only thing that works is to log off completely … and start over …
I have heard that other people are having the same problem. But is there a fix? It did work completely fine before ….

You would think they’d tell us. Is you fan page wacky now too? I cannot like, link or comment. I can only leave linkless status updates. I ekailed them and they tell me nothing is wrong:-( frustrating!!!
I wish Facebook would quit changing things that we don’t know about! Just because we don’t interact with someone frequently doesn’t mean we don’t want to know what’s going on with them. Soooo annoying!

The problem my wife and I are having is rat when we look at each others wall we can only seeposts from each other. We’ve changed the privacy settings to show everyone but we can’t see each others friends posts.

Hmmm That option was not there for me. When I clicked on edit options all I got was hide posts from. Nothing there about show posts from.

I’m with Lisa – I don’t have that choice. When I hit “edit options” the only option I have is hidden stories.

Lisa! I have the same problem! It’s letting me “unhide” previously hidden, but there is no option saying “show posts from” … frustrating. anyone have an answer to this?
I’m not even able to get the Edit Options link! As soon as I scroll to the bottom of the page, it quickly changes from that and starts loading more stories… All these changes are frustrating! Wish they would give us the option to keep things the way they were or at least TELL US they made all these changes! I understand they now have more competition and are trying to keep things exciting and new, but I think they are making more people mad than keeping them interested!

I am having the same problem as others and am not seeing a “show posts from” option. I just see Hide posts from….any help out there for this?

I’ve been going nuts with the new FB. I hate it & many in my family haven’t seen my updates. I don’t get to the page you are referring to. The second page still brings up that subscribe list of people. I can’t get to the second screen shot page that allows you to select all. Frustrated yet again & sooooo close to leaving FB. Help!
Unfortunately, this is already an outdated tip. Two days after the rollout, they took away this functionality. If you make a list with everyone and everything, it will show all updates, but otherwise, this won’t work now.
