Homemade Crafts Gifts {Super Saturday Ideas}

crafts Homemade Crafts Gifts {Super Saturday Ideas}Super Saturday is an annual craft day that is traditionally held in October at my church. It’s a creative woman’s mecca of handmade crafts gifts and creative ideas. It’s actually where I discovered my love for crafting!

I’ve noticed that many people are still searching for ideas and tutorials. Almost any post here on Tip Junkie can be used during a Super Saturday, but here are some of my favorite homemade crafts.

I bookmarked this interchangeable monthly vinyl seasonal frame a while back from the Lincoln 5th Ward Relief Society blog.

I absolutely love the idea of having one homemade craft project serve several purposes throughout the year.  This is a simple wood frame that has interchangeable Plexiglas plates with seasonal sayings on them in colored vinyl lettering.  {{love it!}}

Homemade Crafts Gifts

1.  How to make a darling decorative pear out of an old book from Dangerously Domestic Jen.  I just love this tutorial as it would be lovely in any home and would make a very unique and cheap handmade crafts gifts.

2.  ‘Please Call’ Custom Dry Erase Boards from Windmill Lettering.  These are a really fun and semi handmade craft and a simple project. The tiles use measure either 6″ x 6″ or 6″ x 8″ and can be used with dry erase markers. The dry erase marker will simply wipe off.

3.  Harvest Blessings wall plaque from Pink Apple Boutique. Welcome fall with this festive plaque. Also available in rust with rust colored stripe ribbon. Board measures 7×11. Kit includes wood, vinyl, scroll, and ribbon.

4.  How to make a stamped soldered poppies necklace tutorial from Pine Is Here.  After sandwiching the image between the 2 glass pieces, she wrapped the edge with copper tape. If you don’t want to solder, you could stop here. She has made magnets this way before and they also make great little gifts. This time she took it a step further and soldered the edges, added jump rings, and a little bead dangle.

    These are such great ideas! I was the “co-chair” of our ward’s Super Saturday last year-we actually did it on a Friday night since there were no available Saturdays and called it Fabulous Friday. I don’t know if the ward I live in now does one, but I really hope they do!

    I hate getting rid of a book. I’ve tried donating them and to no avail. So instead of throwing them away I have a new use for them. Thanks for the post.
