Heart Warming Teacher Gift for $3
Just a Tip!
Difficulty: Very Easy
Budget: Cheap
Estimated Time: Under 30 minutes

You Will Need...

  • inexpensive holiday mug, poster board, paint or markers, small piece of ribbon, piece of holiday chocolate, sample of holiday coffee, 1 piece of white paper, 1 piece of construction paper, packet of flower seeds

Instructions

# 1

Make a star ornament: cut out 2 medium-sized star shapes from poster board (I use a cookie cutter to get the shape), and have your child decorate each with paint or markers.

# 2
Teacher Gift Star

Cut a slit in each star and slide them into each other so that it's 3-D. Then cut a hole in the top and string the ribbon through and tie it so that it creates an ornament.

# 3

Type a message that says the following and print it on white paper: "I wanted to get you a mug because you fill me with knowledge, seeds because you help me grow, chocolate because you're always sweet, coffee because you're full of energy, and a star because you brighten my day. Merry Christmas! 2012"

# 4
Teacher Gift Poem

Cut out the message from the paper (from Step 2 above) - I like to use scrapbooking scissors for a design. Then cut out a slightly larger piece of the construction paper of the same shape. Glue the message on the white paper to the piece of construction paper.

# 5

Fill the mug with the chocolate, coffee, seeds, star ornament, and message, and you're ready to give it to a special teacher!
