A Sweater
As I was browsing the net for fabulous Valentine’s Day ideas when I found this darling DIY project on how to make a pillow out of a sweater by my longtime blogging friend Megan, from the Brassy Apple.
My goodness they’re so gorgeous I just had to show them to you! You’ll have to head over to the tutorial on how to make a pillow out of a sweater to get the details, but here are the materials that you’ll need.
Make A Pillow
Sweater – one from your closet or thrifted
Pillow form
Measuring tape
Scissors
Needle/thread
Sewing machine
Straight pins
Embellishments (like buttons) – optional
I adore the fabric flowers that accent each pillow, they add that extra special homemade touch, don’t you think!
I can’t wait to see what beautiful pillows you make! Thanks Megan for all your make a pillow tutorial, feel free to grab my “I’ve been featured” button from Tip Junkie. You’ve earned it!
Question of the Day:
What’s your favorite fabric to sew with?

Wow..If I could make a sweater pillow look THIS GOOD I’d try it in a heartbeat! What TALENT you’ve found Laurie!
I just wanted to say Wow!, and thank you for this tip. I have sweaters that are a bit small to fit me now, and hated to throw them out because they are so cute; this will help me to enjoy them longer and in a different way.
These are precious! I have no need for another throw pillow, but I’m so tempted to make about five of these just because they look so cozy!
Absolutely gorgeous!! Thanks so much for sharing this with us. I might even cut up some sweaters I still wear! LOL!
