I found a black metal coat rack at Marshalls last week for $19.99, a deal that I couldn’t pass up! I loved the style but wasn’t really digging the color, so of course knowing me I thought, no biggie, the color can always be changed. Since I’m giving my foyer a shabby chic makeover I thought it would be a great piece to shabby chic. This is the first time I’ve attempted to distress metal, but I thought it can’t be that different than wood, right? So I put my DIY hat on and got started.
