Broken Jewelry Letter Craft {and giveaway}

Today I’m showcasing my favorite DIY decor tutorial that I’ve done all year.  It’s a broken jewelry letter craft that I made for Charming Charlie (an accessory store).  To make things extra fun, leave a comment on this post as I’ll be hosting a giveaway and making one for one of YOU.  {{giggle}}  Yep, I’ll make one black broken jewelry letter in the letter of your choice!

diy decor broken jewelry letter craft

This was really the coolest opportunity as I’m a huge fan of Charming Charlie.  For me, they are the go-to-place for inexpensive accessories. Since I have all boys, the only person I have to dress up is myself! {{sad but true}} Since the Charming Charlie store organizes their accessories by color – it’s the easiest place for me to buy my accessories.

Watch my video for all the details on how to use broken jewelry to embellish this wood letter.

Craft ~ Broken Jewelry Letter

For the complete tutorial on how to make this gorgeous blinged out monogram you can watch my video or head on over to the Charming Charlie blog with all the specifics.

You’ll need a letter of any size, a lot of jewelry, tin snips, and a hot glue gun.  It took me 5 hours to make the first one (silver) but only 2 hours to make the second one (gold).  Once you get all the jewelry cut up and figure out the design, it’s incredibly easy and zero crafting skills are required. {{wink}}  Simply cut up the jewelry with the tin snips and hot glue onto the letter.  That’s it!

You can hang it directly onto any wall or frame it like I did with the silver one.  You can also go as elaborate or as simple as you’d like and use any size letter.  This would make a gorgeous homemade gift idea.  Keep it in mind for birthday presents this next year.
