How To Make Peeps Sunflower Centerpiece
Just a Tip!
Difficulty: Very Easy
Budget: Reasonable
Estimated Time: Under 30 minutes

You Will Need...

  • Fake sunflowers
  • Pink marshmallow Peeps
  • Green sixlet chocolate candies
  • Pink sixlet chocolate candies
  • Craft foam
  • Small green napkins
  • Clear packing tape
  • Vase or apothecary jar

Instructions

First, turn the apothecary jar upside down and fill with green sixlet chocolate candies. {found at Party City} Use clear packing tape to secure in place. Try not to over fill, otherwise the jar won't be stable.

Depending on the size or your jar or vase, you might need to also add some green sixlet chocolate candies to the inside {bottom} of your jar. This way you only have to use 1 row of Peep bunnies. {otherwise you might need to create 2 rows of Peeps.}

Carefully place the pink Peep marshmallow bunnies into the jar. Be sure the bunnies aren't scratched or broken. Use as many needed to complete the circle around the inlaid of the jar

Here's the tricky part... if your apothecary jar is larger like this one... take 3 small green napkins and stuff into the middle. This way the green sixlet chocolate candies will be pushed down into 1 row ~ pushing the pink peeps further up to the middle of the jar. Otherwise, you may need to have 2 rows of pink marshmallow peeps.

Carefully, place a square piece of green craft foam into the middle. This is a great space saver as well as helping to secure the sunflowers into place.

Squeeze extra or broken marshmellow peeps into each of the sides next to the craft foam. This will secure everything in place as well as filling in the gaps. Next, place a handful of pink sixlets chocolate candies on the top. This step is optional but will fill the rest of the jar and keep all of your colors beautiful and in line.

I used 6 cheap plastic sunflowers for the top. Carefully push each one through the pink sixlets and into the craft foam.

I was unhappy with the light brown color of my sunflowers, so to create more contrast I used my stencil brush and painted a little black paint into the center of each flower.

I used glue dots and a little clear packing tape to secure the sunflowers exactly where I wanted them on the jar. {optional}
