You Will Need...
- Foot lotion/eucalyptus mint lotion (travel size) $1

- Epsom Salts or Bath Beads $3-5
- Bucket free
- Warm Water free
- Chocolates or Chocolate covered strawberries $2-$6
- A movie
Turn up the tempurature on your shower to the highest it can go- or a bit less than that if it's too much for you- and let the steam fill your bathroom. Sit for awhile and take in the heat.
Pick up some nice homey smelling body lotion at your local Walmart in the travel section. Make sure it's lotion and not cream. Lotion will be easier to work with. To make the back massage more relaxing and comfortable for him, there are a few things you'll want to do. First, keep in mind that you don't want him to smell girly- get some more manly smelling lotions. Once you have your lotion, fill up a bowl with warm water, put your lotion in a ziplock bag, and place it in the warm water. The goal is to make the lotion a little runnier and to make it warm. Warm lotion tends to feel better than cold.
Check out some massage technique videos on youtube as there are many and use you lotion in place of massage oil as it will do about the same thing. However, you still can purchase massage oil for this and warm it too.
Foot Soak and Massage
Here's where your bucket comes in handy. You don't want a pale or something. You want a square plain bucket that you can easily reach into to work with his feet. Fill the bucket with hot water (it MUST start out hot- but not boiling or anything like that). Next pour some eucalyptus mint epsom salt into the water. Sit him down and have him put his feet in the bucket (let him take his time cause remember it is hot).
Have him swirl the salt around with his feet gently to blend with the water. Epsom salts work wonders at curing a number of foot problems and mint helps aches and muscle pains. Perfect for your hard working man!
Let his feet soak for about 10 minutes before you begin the massage. the hot water will help if he's ticklish. Run your hands under warm water first and then begin to massage his feet in the water. (Again, youtube for this).
To finish, take his feet out and pat them dry. While he's still slightly damp, take your eucalyptus lotion and rub/massage onto his calves and feet, with focus on his driest spots.
Here you'll be using more of that eucalyptus lotion. Put a small amount on your fingers and gently massage his temples. For more techniques- look on youtube!
Other Spa Items
1) Make the chocolate covered strawberries ahead of time. Put the chocolates in a nice bowl and allow him to indulge himself while you treat him!
2)Movie time! You can do paper view or RedBox ($1) or even just a movie you already own. You could either let him watch while you massage him or snuggle up together after you've finished pampering him!
3) Lastly, if you have a hot tub or bath tub- take advantage of it! There are many more ideas you could do with this like bath salts/bath bombs/bubble baths with wine...
