How To Make Chocolate Covered S’more Pops

Gather up the ingredients that you will need, such as graham crackers, marshmallows, chocolate – for both inside the s’mores and for dipping the s’mores in – Wilton Melts work great.    For inside your s’mores you can use candy bars, chocolate chips or even some of the Wilton’s Melts.  These are fun and flexible, so use whatever you like!   You will also want to have lollipop sticks.

You can make these in an oven, a toaster oven or even a microwave.    For large batches the oven works well, but for smaller batches the toaster oven or microwave will work well.   Break your graham crackers in to halves, and line them up on your baking sheet.   Top half of your graham crackers with marshmallows and half with chocolate.

Put your sheet of s’mores into the oven (in my toaster oven I had the temperature set at 400 degrees).   The chocolate melts and the marshmallows puff up quickly (a matter of minutes), so keep a close eye on them.  When the marshmallows reach your desired shade of brown, pull them out of the oven.   After removing from the oven you can transfer to your countertop to allow you more room to work.  Insert a lollipop stick into each marshmallow and add the chocolate covered graham cracker.

Now pop your s’mores into the freezer for at least five minutes.  This will allow them to set up, and will make it easier to dip them into your chocolate.   This also gives you time to get your melting chocolate, and decorations such as sprinkles or graham crackers crumbs ready.   Once your chocolate has been melted according to the package directions, take your s’mores pops out of the freezer and dunk them into your chocolate.    I find that it works best to do a combo of dipping into the chocolate and spooning the chocolate over the s’more.

After covering in chocolate, transfer to was paper, top with you desired sprinkles or toppings and let dry.

No sticks?  No problem!   Simply dip the top half of your s’mores into the chocolate and leave the bottoms plain.

After allowing to set up until the chocolate hardens, you are ready to package or serve!  You can come up with a variety of creative combinations of flavors – dark chocolate, milk chocolate, white chocolate, use a variety of candy bars to mix up the chocolate filling.   With a variety of toppings and lollipop sticks, you can come up with S’mores Pops to fit any party or holiday theme.   Have fun with it!

Add some cellophane bags, a bit of ribbon and you have a darling S’mores Pop Favor!

Enjoy!   For a salty twist on these chocolate covered s’mores, you can also try pretzel s’mores at Love From The Oven.

I made these for a July 4th party this year and they were SUCH a hit!! My version used actual squares of chocolate bars, but next time I’m so going to use the chocolate chip idea! To make the coating, I melted chocolate chips in a double boiler and added just a little bit of paraffin; it made the coating really crisp and crackly!

Hi! These look amazing!! I’m always looking for a fun and yummy smore recipe. I was wondering, where did you get the red/white striped popsicle sticks, and the Mickey Mouse sprinkles? I’m doing a Mickey/Minnie theme for my kids bday, and these would be great treats/favors!

    Thanks!

Visiting by way of SITS! I make a similar S’more pop, but never thought to put chocolate in the inside as well — Brilliant! Are those striped paper straws you used in the last photo? I love the way they look. I’m definitely going to have to give that a try next time I do some chocolate dipping!

    So pleased to “meet” you!

Oh silly me — I clicked a link from the SITS feature for Love from the Oven, and it brought me here. I didn’t even look to see it was my old fav, Tip Junkie ;-) , so I’m sorry if the “pleased to meet you” seemed out of place from a long-time follower and fan.

The compliments, however, remain the same!

Having someone to look after you, offer you great dishes and take care of you I guess every man wishes that I am enjoying right now and with no regret I marry the right woman. Just love her so much.

Hi Christi…I’ve been pouring over Pinterest to find the perfect treat for our annual Cookie Exchange and I’m so excited that I found this!!! So excited, in fact, that I didn’t pin it because didn’t want to increase the chance that any of my friends would see it and steal my idea, lol. Thanks for the great idea and have a blessed Christmas!!!

    Smore pops

Hi, love these, making them for a party, the ones with out the sticks, just dipping the top halves. My question is how ahead do you think I can make these and they still be ooey goey goodeness? I’m wanting to make the day before. But concerned the marshmallow will harden.
