Stained Glass Picture Frame

Using Liquid Leading and Window Color Glass Paint, I took some old picture frames and drew designs on the glass of the frames to creat the look of stained glass.

When they are all finished they have a wonderful look to them and make a wonderful whimsical accessory to hang on your wall.

You Will Need...

picture frame, glass paint, liquid leading, design to layout onto glass

Instructions

take an old or new picture frame (all you really need is the frame and the glass, that's why is you have an old frame that maybe has been broken this is a great way to recycle it); make sure that the glass is clean

find a design that will fit nicely onto the piece of glass that you have, and tape the design onto the back of the piece of glass

online your design with the liquid leading, let all of the leading completely dry

paint in color inside the leading; I used a frosted glass paint to color in the background of my design, and it gave it a nice look rather than leaving it plain glass or going overboard with too much color

let all of the glass paint dry and then pop the piece of glass back into the frame and hang where you see that it looks best!!
