My first sewing project was a pillow case.

I think it was a wrap skirt in a small floral pattern that I wore for years! Don’t sew much anymore but plan to thread my serger this summer! That’s a start.

I am definitely going to use these! I’ve been redecorating the house and when I go to the store to find new pillows for the rooms, they are super expensive; even for the simple ones. This will save me money and I can make the exact pillow I am thinking of. Thank you for sharing these!
I have my Nan’s sewing box with quite a few spools of Coats & Clark thread on wooden spools from the turn of the century. I just cannot part with them. (The thread is actually still usable too!)
my first sewing project
I really don’t remember but remember making stuffed animals when I was younger; probably pillows;
My first sewing project was a pillow case dress for my little girl.. Luckily my mom was there to walk me through most of it.. But I still got to get a good bit of experience in with the seam ripper!
I made a cell phone cover, magic bag and pj pants.

My first sewing project I think were a bunch of white pantaloons for my mother. Haha! I was SO proud of myself! Now I am getting back into sewing and sewing lots of simple t-shirt dresses for my 9 month old daughter and all of the little cousins in our family! =)
