All About Me Card

activities for kids All About Me Card
My oldest child has high functioning autism. So to most people he looks like every other 8 year old boy. However, my son has autistic behaviors that can be difficult to understand and know how to handle.

Since he is mainstreamed, I make his church and school teachers a card every year letting them know key information that will help him learn and thrive. School is starting in a couple weeks and it’s time to update the card.

Click here to see an example of the ‘All About Me’ card. Even if your child doesn’t have special needs, consider making one. It’s a way that your child’s teacher can relate to them on a personal level from the very beginning of the school year.

Laurie, tonight was our meet and greet at school. I made one of these for my son with SPD and his first grade teacher loved it. It certainly helped me feel a lot more at ease knowing she had some added info about my son. Thank you for the idea!
