SITScation = Girl Power

by Laurie on October 19, 2009

Sorry Ladies there won’t be “Make Over Monday” today as I feel terrible and am wheezing.  Yuck!

I went to the doctor today and I have a major ear infection and “crackling” in my lungs. My doc hooked me up with 3 medications so I should be feeling a lot better in an hour or so.

In the meantime here’s a taste of what SITScation was like over the weekend (a blogging conference). It was my first speaking gig and I was nervous. {{biting finger nails}} I just wish I had been healthy and didn’t have a sore throat and cough. I SO hope I pulled it off anyway.

I can’t thank the SITSgirls enough for giving me the opportunity as well as throwing such an amazing girl power weekend. It can’t tell you how giddy I was to meet many of my all time favorite bloggers. {{squeal in delight}}

There’s more to come but I need to lay down and let my 3 year old snuggle me ’till my meds kick in. He’s got his Mickey blanket all ready for me.

(P.S.  If you haven’t used Whrrl before – just click on the picture and view it as a slide show.)

You did an amazing job speaking on Saturday. I learned so much from you and all of the other wonderful women who were there.

I still cannot believe I got to meet you and hug you.

I was so great to meet you and have drinks together. I just loved chatting with you. And you are a GREAT speaker, in my opinion the best and most informative at SITScation.
I hope you get to speak more often.

Looks like you had lots of fun even though you weren’t feeling well. I soooo wanted to go, but the timing just didn’t work for me this year. :(

I am thrilled that we were your first speaking engagement- this way when you are a big {should I say bigger!} star, you’ll remember us!

You were fabulous- can’t wait to see you in February.

When Jill mentioned that “everyone” is raving about you, what she really means is me. :) I haven’t stopped singing your praises since we got back from Vegas. Someone is going to have to shut me up soon. I am a non-stop gush-and-love fest when it comes to you.

SUCH an absolute pleasure meeting you in person, Laurie. You must tell us whenever you plan on attending a conference again. We’ll be going simply to see you.

xoxo

Oh goodness this being sick thing must be contagious..um duh! I was sick all weekend in Vegas, get home.. STILL sick… but the added bonus is 3 of my four kiddos are as well. NICE! I hope you are feeling better soon. Your speech was both entertaining and inspiring for me. I’ve joined Tip Junkie and am already feeling another social media addition forming after only two days. Thanks so much for setting a great example. And NOBODY rocks a head band like you momma!! Wish I could!
