How To Promote Your Blog with a Giveaway

by Laurie on August 11, 2009

I’ve been a fan of Darren the ProBlogger for quite a while.  In fact, he’s the only man that has been featured on Tip Junkie.  He’s the guy in the know and has created the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog workshop which is free and full of fabulous tips. I’ve followed his workshop for 2 years in a row with great results.

So you can imagine my excitement when I read this article How to Promote Your Blog with a Giveaway from guest blogger Olivia over at ProBlogger and saw the Tip Junkie Giveaway Directory mentioned in today’s article.  {{squeal in delight}}

Shut up! {{said in complete denial}}  Tip Junkie was listed 3rd behind Prize.net which charges a fee because they are so widely used.

I launched the Tip Junkie Giveaway Directory in February because I was recovering from back surgery and was receiving over 100 e-mails a week from people wanting me to announce their giveaways.  I wanted to help but could no longer undertake the work load.  It was created out of necessity and on a complete whim.

Olivia submitted her blog giveaway to over 30 different Giveaway Directories!  Who knew that the TJ Giveaway Directory would be in the top 3 most successful traffic generating sites!

Olivia’s quote: “I submitted my giveaway to about 30 sweepstakes and giveaway websites, and only saw multiple entries from four sites, but overall those 4 sites generated 85% of my contest entries!”

I’ve always known that Tip Junkie has the best readers and today you’ve proved it.  I can’t thank you enough from the bottom of my heart for making the Tip Junkie Blog, the TJ Giveaway Directory, and the TJ Mom-preneur Shops such a successful vehicle to promote women!

It’s my goal to give everyone a day in the spotlight and because of YOU it looks like that goal is being achieved.  Seriously, Y’all ROCK!

{{hugs to all}}

What a bummer! It has some really great information. I bet if you google “problogger” you’ll find others like him that also give great blogging for bucks advice.

Ramintessah, the posts from the 31 Days to A Better Blog are still on ProBlogger, it’s just the workbook that isn’t free. You could either wait for the next challenge or search for the posts. Try searching for 31DBB or look through the tags. ;)

So I’m new to this whole blogging world. I decided to start one when I found out I was pregnant with my first baby. The whole pregnacy journey comes with lots of surprises so I wante to be sure to document them. A few weeks ago I had a person contact me about doing my first giveaway. I feel like a real life blogger now! Any advice on how to advertise my giveaway?? I only have 20 entries.
